CHURCH MULTIPLICATION

Welcome to Church Multiplication in the Western Region…

As we look to the future, our focus continues to be on multiplying disciples, leaders, churches and districts/networks throughout the Missionary Church Western Region. For the past several years we have intensified our efforts to see more of our churches and church plants actually making disciples who make disciples. I’m thrilled to come alongside our pastors and church planters to train and coach them to do this effectively.

FOCUS…

Multiplication Workshops – Several of our pastors and church planters participated in these workshops in Colorado, Arizona and California. The emphasis was on identifying your “disciplemaking engine” that will actually make disciples who make disciples. I offered three workshops this fall in California, Colorado and Arizona. While I anticipated a larger response, I was able to spend intentional time with leaders from six churches. Each of them made significant progress on defining their disciplemaking engine. I believe that we will see fruit for years to come!

OnMission Training – Dan Riemenschneider and I are committed to helping our existing churches take intentional steps forward to make disciples who make disciples. We will be offering two On Mission Training events in November in Southern California. The training is designed for pastors and church leadership teams to wrestle with what it means to be on mission with God, working to fulfill the Great Commission to make disciples while living out the Great Commandments to love God, love others and love the lost. Leaders will walk away with a plan for guiding the church towards health and strength. (Training format: Friday 6:30-9:30pm and Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm)…For more information click here for the OnMission webpage.

Movement Leaders Network – Last year we kicked off our first Movement Leaders network of pastors who were focused on launching disciple making movements. Participants included Steve Bagdanov, Edwin Recinos, Elias Recinos, Phil Graf, Larry Wolf, Rick Dunn, Louis DeLuca, and Sam Gallucci. We met together monthly for a 90- minute conference call. Each participant also received individual coaching. We are already seeing some incredible fruit from this intentional learning community.

CHURCH PLANT / MULTIPLICATION RESOURCES:

DiscipleAssessment.com – How do you advance in your discipleship development? It’s helpful to get a picture of where you are on your discipleship journey? This online 360˚ assessment tool developed with Bob Logan and Chuck Ridley is designed to help followers of Jesus get a snapshot of where they are in their spiritual development in 8 dimensions of discipleship.

1. Experiencing God
2. Spiritual Responsiveness
3. Authentic Relationships
4. Sacrificial Services
5. Personal Transformation
6. Generous Living
7. Disciplemaking
8. Community Transformation

This will be valuable to our churches in their process of growing mature disciples. We’ve also created 8 Discipleship Guides for individual or small group use. For more information – www.discipleassessment.com.
